Michelle Azout is a Miami-based art advisor and curator with twenty years of experience working in leading art museums and galleries across the country. In 2024, Michelle founded, directed, and curated the HOME | LAND art exhibition which aims to showcase and promote the work of Israeli artists.
Michelle provides an education-focused approach to acquiring works of art by presenting accessible information on contemporary art, artists and their process - allowing clients to better understand the art world. Next, taking into consideration specific parameters regarding spaces and budgets, artwork selection is tailored to each client. The result is enlivened architectural spaces with thoughtful and meaningful art placements.
Prior to launching the Advisory, Michelle was on staff at some of the country’s most prestigious art museums including Stanford University’s Cantor Arts Center in Palo Alto and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Michelle also held roles at The Drawing Center (New York) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (North Miami).
Michelle studied Art History at the University of Miami; graduate studies at the City College of New York; and coursework at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Michelle serves on the Young Collector’s Board at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. She lives in Miami with her husband and three young children and is a big believer of introducing kids to contemporary art and promoting the values of creative thinking, often exemplified by working artists.
